Norton Site
Pupils follow the same curriculum as pupils attending Abbey Hill's main site. They have the same opportunities as their peers, for example: at Key Stage 4, pupils select accredited courses they wish to study and will access these with their peers at Abbey Hill's main site. Phonics
The teaching of reading and phonics is done primarily through the delivery of the Read Write Inc. Programme. Children are provided with phonetically decodable reading books, matching their Read Write Inc groups to support with reading at home.
Our phonics scheme at Key Stage 3 is Read Write Inc and Fresh Start
Religious Education
Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE. Please speak to a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the first instance
