Abbey Hill School & College
Welcome to Abbey Hill School & College.
For those of you who have already visited the school, I am certain you will have received a warm welcome from both staff and pupils. We have a dedicated staff team who want the very best for pupils.
It is extremely important to me that the pupils at Abbey Hill School & College are happy and are placed at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that every child is unique, and we celebrate each individual’s success in the most meaningful way for that child.
We have a stunning purpose-built building which we moved to in September 2014 – which is well worth a visit! As well as being a designated Performing Arts College, we have a second specialism in SEN and Inclusion (Communication and Interaction).
I have high aspirations for our school and I am determined to build on its current success. One of my main aims is to continue to work towards becoming an outstanding school. This year, I am looking forward to some of the exciting developments due to take place: the expansion of Abbey Hill Connect – our satellite provision based in mainstream schools; launching our new autism support curriculum; a whole host of enterprise and business-led learning opportunities; and a greater focus on sharing our expertise with others.
We aim to build relationships and work with local partners to ensure that all pupils enjoy their time at Abbey Hill School & College, make exceptional progress, and leave us feeling better prepared for everyday life. This is an exciting time for us, and I hope that you share this excitement and will support our drive to become a leading school. I look forward to meeting you.
