Pupils are streamed for English, maths, D&T, computing, science and PE. Pupils are taught in year groups for PSHE, and Careers/Life Skills sessions are taught within tutor groups. The process of accreditation begins with all pupils having the opportunity to gain qualifications in the following subjects: maths, English, science, D&T, and computing.
Pupils can also select a pathway to study in both Humanities and the Arts, which also lead to a qualification.
Y11 pupils take part in an intensive travel training programme, whilst those who excel at sports join our gifted and talented PE sessions.

Careers Education
At Abbey Hill Academy & College we provide a comprehensive careers education which begins formally as pupils enter Year 7, but also includes tasters and experiences before this. We aim to give our pupils a realistic understanding of the world of work expectations, processes and the skills to succeed.
Our careers lead is Joshua Moss who can be contacted via the school telephone number or the 'Contacts’ page on our website.
