Pupils in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) class are assessed against Development Matters. When ready, Year 1 pupils begin to follow the lower primary curriculum. At the end of EYFS, pupils’ results will be summarised and recorded on the EYFS Profile and sent home to parents.
The progress of all pupils in Key Stage 1-3 is assessed against Steps in Learning key skills. These can be seen by clicking on the documents below.
Pupils in our ASPIRE classes are assessed against our ASPIRE framework. This incorporates assessment from a range of areas, including: Steps in Learning; AET framework; Occupational Therapist; and Speech and Language Therapist
Pupils in Key Stage 4 will be set a qualification pathway based on their Year 8 attainment. Pupils will be assessed according to their progress in accredited courses.
All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), which details pupils' individual objectives and milestones. This is a live document which is continually referred to, assessed and updated when milestones are achieved. Key successes are shared with parents throughout the year and an annual review meeting takes place to discuss achievements / next steps in more detail.
